Quuppa Positioning Engine

The Quuppa Positioning Engine (QPE) is the heart and soul software of the Quuppa Intelligent Locating System™.

The Positioning Engine receives data from the Locators, runs it through advanced positioning algorithms and provides a standard JSON/REST – push/pull API that enables seamless integration with other systems. The Positioning Engine can be run locally or as a cloud-based platform and provides accurate and reliable positioning in real time, with updates as frequently as 50 times per second.

The Positioning Engine can be used for

  • Tag & Sensor Monitoring
    The QPE allows users to monitor detailed information for all tags, both online and offline. In addition to tag positioning, it is also used for other sensor data, such as heart rate or temperature.
  • Remote commanding & configuration
    The Quuppa BackChannels can be used to command & reconfigure tags remotely. The QPE manages the execution of these changes on-site.
  • Push/Pull API
    The QPE features a JSON REST pull API and UDP Push method for file logging for positioning data and tag measurements. It allows users to select from multiple position data filters which align best for your use case.
  • Locator Monitoring
    In addition to tags, the QPE Web Console allows users to gain detailed information about all the Locators in the system.
