Minsait and Quuppa have reached a collaboration agreement to develop new disruptive digital products that combine the most advanced real-time location and mobility technologies and business intelligence in the areas of worker safety, productivity and asset traceability for all kinds of industries.

Minsait, an Indra company and Quuppa, a leader in real-time positioning, will partner to create new disruptive digital products that improve risk anticipation and management, as well as worker productivity and asset traceability in industrial environments.

As a result of the agreement, signed by the two companies, Minsait will incorporate Quuppa’s Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) into Onesait Motion, an IoT solution for locating and monitoring people, vehicles and assets. Quuppa’s technology improves positioning accuracy, extends coverage by facilitating location in mixed environments (warehouses, offices and outdoor areas) and reduces energy consumption.

Onesait Motion is a cloud-based solution developed by Minsait that uses RTLS technologies, wearables and edge computing, to detect, prevent and avoid situations involving risks while providing a comprehensive view of the workplace and related professional behaviors.

The solution can create safer working conditions by reducing the number and severity of in-plant accidents through alerts and recommendations in the event of dangerous environments, a worker falling down or access to restricted areas. It also incorporates specific capabilities to combat COVID-19 by guaranteeing social distancing, facilitating capacity management and rapidly tracing the footprint of potential infections.

The advantages of the cooperation of the two companies, formalized in this agreement, have already been demonstrated in the success story of a Spanish leader in the energy and forest-based industry. This joint project has facilitated the generation of safer working environments for workers and improved the understanding and management of safety measures by providing business intelligence.

The partnership also opens the door to new use cases for Minsait customers and the further development of Quuppa’s technology, based on the user knowledge that can be acquired by developing projects together.
