Adding Locators to the project plan is one of the key steps in planning a Quuppa
system. The simplest way to do this, is to add Locators one by one to the project.
This instruction will walk you through how to do this.
In cases of large deployments with many Locators, you may want to consider using the
Locator
Distributor Tool instead, to speed up the process.
-
Open the project in the QSP.
-
Select the location where you want to place the new Locator by moving the
cursor to the right spot in the map view.
Note: You can also add a new Locator without specifying its place with the
cursor. The Locator will by default be placed at the origin of the
coordinate system. You can then drag and drop it to the right area using
the mouse.
-
Use the ctrl + L shortcut to add
a new Locator to the project. A blue dot signifying the Locator will appear on
the map.
Tip: You can also add a new Locator through the menu bar at the
top of the QSP: Planning > Add
Locator. To specify the location of Locators added this
way, right click the in spot first to create a crosshair and then
navigate to the menu bar.
