Enabling Frequency Channel Settings

The Quuppa System can use a variety of frequency channels, including both general Bluetooth channels and proprietary channels.

Although the Quuppa system can use either Proprietary or Bluetooth® Low Energy (BLE) radio channels, we recommend the use of dual channels wherever possible and especially in projects where tracking of both tags and smart devices is required. When locators and tags both operate on Dual Channel, this will improve system performance.

In the QSP application settings, you can select which frequency channels are made available for your project.

Note: The frequency channel settings will affect which operation channels are available in your project defaults. It also affects the channels on which the Focusing Locator will scan.
  1. Open the QSP.
  2. In the menu bar at the top, select the Settings menu and select Application Settings. The Application Settings window will open.
  3. Use the checkboxes for Available Frequency channels [MHz] to select the frequency channel options that will be available in the QSP.
  4. Restart the QSP.
Tip: When using the Focusing Locator to scan and configure tags, reducing the number of selected channels to only those needed improves throughput and reliability. E.g. 2402 BLE adv. channel index 37 and 2481 Primary proprietary channel.
