Locator Provisioning

  1. Ensure the LED of the Locator is aligned along the truss and pointed towards the wall predetermined to be the directional reference point.
  2. Document the name and ID (MAC address) of the Locator.
    1. Ideally using a barcode scanner to scan the Locator ID into a spreadsheet pre-numbered by Locator name.
  3. Using a laser measuring device, measure the z axis (height of the locator) to/from the floor.
  4. Using a laser measuring device, measure the distance from the centre of the locator to a column in the proximity of the locator. Record the distance to the column and record the column (A1, B2, G5, etc…).
  5. Using a laser measuring device, measure the distance from the center of the locator to a second column in the proximity of the locator, preferably approximately 90 degrees from the column used in the first measurement. Record the distance to the column and record the column (A1, B2, G5, etc…).
