Quuppa Positioning enables sub-meter accuracy with sub-second latency – independent of the BLE device type. While majority of tracked devices are simple asset and people tracking tags, there is growing trend to track for example smartphones and handheld scanners. To help customers to choose the best performing devices, we have a separate test and certification program for these devices.
Quuppa Tested is a certification category that is reserved for devices which, unlike asset tracking tags, are typically designed for some other purposes than positioning. The category itself is not exclusive by nature of the device. The key requirement for devices in this category is to have a radio that can transmit Quuppa Direction Finding packets (as specified in Quuppa Emulation Specification) at least on one of the Quuppa tracking channels.
Once the correct packet transmission is confirmed, device’s positioning performance is being tested in the office environment as well as in the field environment. Depending on the device type and nature of its use with Quuppa System, some other technical and practical tests may be introduced.
If device is deemed to perform satisfactorily considering its common use and usage environment, Quuppa grants the manufacturer right to use “Quuppa Tested” mark and Quuppa Trademark in the manufacturer’s marketing materials.
Quuppa Tested device can be operating on proprietary or standard BLE- channels. Devices can be based on Quuppa FW libraries, Quuppa Android libraries, or Quuppa Emulation Specifications.
